Sara El Bashir, DPM, AACFAS graduated Magna Cum laude in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University – New Brunswick. She then went on to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan, where she received her doctorate in Podiatric medicine. During her time there, Sara was a scholarship recipient along with several awards and honors during her academic career.
After her doctorate, she completed a comprehensive three-year residency in foot and ankle surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. During her training, she completed the AAFAO Comprehensive Course of Internal Fixation for Reconstructive Surgery and Trauma of the Foot & Ankle, and Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy. She is well trained in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery with interest in the treatment of foot and ankle trauma, elective reconstruction, wound care, and preventative care for patients of all ages.
